HISCOE JIU-JITSU CHILLIWACK
Low Impact Classes
At Hiscoe Jiu-Jitsu we believe that anyone can benefit from training in martial arts, regardless of age. No matter your age, it's never too late to get fit or learn a new skill.
In our Low Impact class, you will learn all the same self defense techniques we teach in our other classes, minus the heavy falling. We recognize that some students are starting classes later in life and want to ensure a safe learning environment for all.
IMPROVED FLEXIBILITY, MOBILITY AND BALANCE
As we grow older the risk of falling increases as does the level of injury sustained. Training in martial arts, which is a form exercise, will improve your strength, flexibility, posture, which in turns improves our balance and coordination reducing the likelihood of falls. Additionally, the strength we gain will help us fight symptoms of chronic conditions such as arthritis.

STAY HEALTHY LONGER AND REDUCE IMPACT OF ILLNESS
People who exercise and participate in martial art classes tend to have improved immune systems. The results of the cardiovascular exercise is better blood pressure while the strength gained provides better bone density.
You are at a lower risk for diabetes, obesity, heart disease, Alzeihmer's and other chronic illnesses.
HAVING FUN AND MAKING FRIENDS
Working with others is definitely more fun than working alone. If you are that person who just hates being in the gym alone then martial arts training may just be for you. You will develop new friendships, while at the same time getting yourself in shape.

MENTAL HEALTH BENEFITS
Improves your sleep. Quality sleep is essential to overall health. Exercise can help you get to sleep faster and actually sleep deeper meaning you wake up more energized and ready to tackle the day.

Brain health. Keeping your brain active and exercised is essential to staying sharp. Learning new skills and exercising the brain has many benefits.
